If you apply for an account with JDB as a result of such a promotion or offer, JDB reserves the right to confirm with the third party that you have opened an account with us, the type of account and date

Therefore, the Bank recommends that the following procedures should also be observed and follow:
• Be careful when download freeware via the Internet. Always check the address of the website that you enter before login.
• anti virus software should always be installed on your personal computer and be updated regularly;
• personal firewall software should be installed for protection against any crackers or hackers; and
• keep yourselves updated in respect of computer cyber news.
• Check your financial status regularly for security purpose. For instance, account balance, transaction date, account number.
• Always sign off the system after completing your transaction. Do not leave your computer unattended during the transaction.
• Keep your personal information, financial status or credit card number confidential. Personal information should not be disclosed on websites that are not certified by a trusted Internet security solution provider. • Avoid opening Junk 

Communication with the International

If you want any assistance from the JDB regardless of whether such assistance is required in respect of any additional information, any errors, any doubts of your account movement, or any transactions previously executed without your permission, you yourselves shall have to inform JDB by contacting JDB's Customer Service at telephone number 021 2135316 or by writing a letter to the Bank's department by which the relevant service is being or was previously provided without any delay. In connection with this, you shall have to provide JDB with the following detail:
• your name and account number;
• estimated amount of errors;
• type of transaction or activity, including the date and time of occurrence thereof;
• details of errors and reference code (if any); and
• your reachable contact name and address, including your email address (if any).
After the Bank receives information of any errors or irregular activity made through the Bank's Web Site as stated above, the Bank shall investigate such error or irregularity promptly and inform you the result of such investigation as soon as possible. 

Liveness Privacy

JDB may collect the following types of information:
• Personal Information: Name, email address, phone number, and other identifiers.
• Biometric Data: Facial images, video recordings, and other biometric data used for liveness detection.
• Technical Data: IP address, device information, browser type, and operating system.

Liveness Detection and Face Data Storage

JDB use liveness detection as part of our authentication process to ensure that users accessing an account are the rightful owners. This process involves matching a live facial scan with the face data previously linked to the user’s account to verify their identity.
1. Duration of Face Data Storage and Justification The length of time we store face data depends on the authentication process and security requirements:

  • Real-Time Matching (No Storage Beyond Authentication).
  • In most cases, the system processes the live face scan in real time, comparing it with the previously stored account face data.
  • Once verification is completed successfully, the newly captured face data is immediately discarded.
  • Stored Account Face Data.
JDB may store a reference facial image linked to user accounts for continued authentication purposes.
This stored data is retained only as long as the user maintains an active account or until they choose to delete their face data. If a user deactivates or deletes their account, the associated face data is permanently deleted within 90 days, unless required for fraud prevention or legal obligations.

Security and Fraud Prevention
In cases of suspicious activity, attempted account takeovers, or fraud investigations, a temporary record of authentication attempts (including face match failures) may be retained for 90 days to enhance security monitoring before being automatically deleted.
JDB balance security and privacy by only retaining face data for as long as needed to ensure account protection.
JDB do not store facial data indefinitely.

2. Third-Party Face Data Storage and Privacy Practices
JDB do not share or sell face data to any third party for marketing or unrelated purposes. However, we may use third-party service providers that assist us in processing liveness detection.

Does the Third-Parties Store Face Data?
Our third-party service providers process face data solely for authentication and fraud prevention purposes.
If they retain data, it is strictly for 90 days to comply with security measures and improve fraud detection.

Security and Compliance
Any third party involved in processing face data is required to comply with industry-standard security protocols.
These providers are strictly prohibited from using, sharing, or selling face data beyond the authentication process.

By ensuring limited storage duration and strong security measures, JDB prioritize user privacy while maintaining a secure and effective liveness detection system.
